Sharing a garage and costs

Why a pit garage is worth having, how to split the cost fairly, and who brings what.

Many circuits let you hire a pit garage for the day. It gives you shelter from the weather, somewhere to work on the car and keep your kit, and a base for the day. Split between a few cars, it often costs little more per person than standing in the paddock.

Setting one up on this site

  1. Book the garage with the circuit or organiser.
  2. On the day's Plan page, offer a garage share: add the garage number, the total cost and how many cars it holds.
  3. Others going can ask to join. Accept the people you want, and a private chat opens with each of them.
  4. The page shows the cost per person, split evenly between everyone in the garage.
